Hozier

Andrew John Hozier-Byrne is an Irish musician, singer and songwriter. His music primarily draws from folk, soul and blues.

I like Hozier because of his voice, his skills to play any instrument and his lyrics that speak of sensitive topic from a friendly perspective, he's a great musician. I also like his music videos because of the artistic expressions that he usually shows since he comes from an artistic family. He choose independent artists to showcase their work in their videos.

I first heard of him in 2015 when he won a grammy for the song "Take me to church" on his first album also caller Hozier, which talks about discrimination and persecution by the church and Christian morals towards the LGBTQI+ community.

He released his second album called "Wasteland, Baby!" in 2019 with a more professional and produced sound but maintaining his style.

 

This next video was performed by the Ukrainian dancer Sergei Polunin, paying tribute to the "emotional physicality of dance" alongside the lyrics.
